Are you suggesting it would impossible for someone to abduct a child and travel ~200 miles away?

Also, you can turn off Amber Alerts. At least, you can on iPhones.

Unless I am on-call for work my cell phone gets turned off when I sleep. Problem solved.

no, but it's stupid for it to be limited to state borders. chicago was much closer, no alert there.

Everyone knows if you abduct a person, you never take them to Chicago... Rule #1 of abduction: avoid Chicago at all costs.

Never got an Amber alert on my phone, only extreme weather ones. My phone is almost always on silent otherwise.

Rule #1 of life: avoid Chicago at all costs.

Coming from someone that lives in Wisconsin, that is rich. We're glad you can't make the trip down. We don't want to hear about how you own part of the Packers. We don't care, and you don't get anything from owning them anyway.

In my three months of phone ownership(well... renting until the contract's over), I haven't gotten a single alert for anything. If they become an issue, alerts will be turned off.

vibrate is an amazing thing. and anyone complaining about an amber alert should be kicked in the balls by a line of recovered amber alert children.

Just turn off the alerts. I've done it on Android also.

Vibrate still vibrates on my night table making noise. Always leaving it on vibrate doesn't let me know my phone is ringing when I'm in the kitchen preparing lunch, etc.
