fret buzz

just recently my acoustic guitar has begun to buzz when I play it. it mostly seems to be the top three strings. any idea what might have caused this? is it possible that my neck is getting warped? I did change my strings recently but I don't see how that could cause a problem... thanks.

press on the first fret / first string an strum - does the string vibrate against the second fret?

etc...

You can check your neck by sighting along it on both sides. Does it appear straight on both edges? Also, check your frets and the bridge for wear. If your frets are grooved, you may need a fret job. If they're only mildly grooved, you may get away with a good filing job. If they're too worn, you'll have to get them replaced.

If the bridge is worn, the saddle is probably replacable. Most are cut from a piece of bone. In either case, don't try this, yourself unless you know what you're doing. Hope you have a good guitar tech where you live.

Its an acoustic. If you spent less than $500 for it, you are gonna have that buzz one way or another. It is normal. The only way to alleviate it is too play further from the fret or try different srings.
