Frequent Windows XP BSOD's...

Having problems with Windows XP that have me truly stumped:

At seemingly random times, my system powers down (does not turn off, but the hard-drive shuts down anyway) and I get a blue screen in Windows XP with a stop messages on it, sometimes saying "PAGEFAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA," "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL," and "INTERNAL_POWER_ERROR." There are what look like memory addresses accompanying them as well, but I'm not sure if it would do good to post them here (there's lots of them).

Files are only sometimes specified at the bottom of the screen (atapi.sys, scsiport.sys, win32k.sys...different one every time), although once it said "Windows could not write to read-only memory."

I tried doing a fresh reinstall of Windows XP, but I get the same messages in Windows setup as well, and Linux also stopped working (hung at startup). I guess it's worth mentioning that I recently replaced my power supply as well.

Well, anyway, I'm at my wit's end about this. I don't know whether my memory went bad, or whether I got a bad power supply, or what, but I'd really appreciate it any advice or solutions you guys could provide.

Thanks.

sounds like RAM went out on ya. Snag memtest86 to test it, or swap it out w/ a known good stick and see if it helps

you could also boot to the CD and do a repair installation and see what happens

It could also be that your system/CPU is overheating.

Did you plug all of the fans back in when you replaced your PSU?
Does the new PSU have the same fan setup (or better) as the original PSU?
Is the PSU rated properly for your CPU?
