Dear Anandtech staff and members,
My brother is using the following hardware:
Gigabyte GA-7Vt600 1394 mainboard (dualbios; 333FSB; etc..)
AMD Athlon XP 2800+ processor
His processor is registering as a 500mHZ Athlon, and I immediately thought to go into the BIOS and change the CPU frequency from 100mHZ to 133mHZ. The bios, however, only registers up to 132mHZ, and refused to boot up at said speed. I reset it to 100mHZ, and downloaded Gigabyte's "Overclocking" tool, EASY TUNE 5. It seems to be willing to allow me to set the FSB at whatever I want, but I don't want to muck anything up.
What can I do to get this mainboard to register the 2800+ speed of hte processor?
Jacob
