Hi,
I have a HP P6720f with an ATI HD 5670 vid card.
I reinstall windows 7, then when I get to installing the vid card drivers it freezes on startup after the install/reset. I am almost certain this is the problem because the system starts up fine if I disable this adapter.

What can I do? I need some video drivers.

Thanks for any help!

No, I hadn't. I assume you mean http://www.microsoft.com/net

I uninstalled, reset, installed .net , reset and then the drivers again and reset but still the same problem.

I can get it to boot up fine again as long as the adapter is disabled.

Your ideas are appreciated, but unfortunately I am still looking for a solution. =/

Might have to use a driver sweeper first now, AMD drivers are PITA if you don't get it right, does W7 not give you just a driver, the card isn't that powerful for gaming anyway
Quite sure windows update will find the driver

Maybe it is an issue with the crappiness of HP, this is what I get for buying one after building my own the last 4 or 5 times.

When I go into System it just shows the standard VGA adapter to update... I thought my card should show up in there. My cables are plugged in to the card of course...
