Do any of you use a freeware utility that provides for faster file copying in WinXP than using Windows Explorer?
Windows Explorer seems to really bog down when it comes across a lot of smaller files, and the "Do you want to move this read-only file?" prompt drives me nuts when it occurs in the middle of a long transfer.

I like to use xcopy from the command line when transferring a large amount of files.

I recently used this to copy 200 gig of data for a customer. It is not necessarily intuitive in its usage, but a person can figure it out. It has the built in feature to keep going when it has an issue with a file.

robocopy. For XP MS has a separate package download.

Thanks for the suggestions. I went with TeraCopy for the GUI, and it worked great (thanks redbeard1).
