I just discovered that my gf has about 25GB of pics floating on her drive - and the images are ~4MB a piece. Got similar issues with some product pics at work. So my question: I've been using Fireworks' batch image processor to cut things down, but my trial version expired and I don't like Adobe apps anyway - too big and bulky for my needs, and way too expensive. I know there are freeware batch processors like BIMP out there, but I'm concerned that they may not have as good of a file size:image quality ratio as Fireworks does. My gf wants to be able to print her stuff, so we need to maintain high quality while reducing file size as much as possible. Probably gonna save everything as PNG to prevent degradation with any editing we do later. Recommendations?
