Freesync vs GSync for a new PC?

I'm looking to build a new PC in the next month or so, and wanted to hear all of your takes on which option to go with. I don't have a price constraint really, but I'm looking for a 4K monitor for gaming. I have 2 1080p displays today, one for productivity and one BenQ 144hz monitor for gaming. The monitor should be 27" just to match the bezel of the other so I can put them a mount and have it be the same setup.

Appreciate any thoughts... as I said, price isn't really a factor but I don't want to spend a million bucks either when it doesn't buy me much more. So should I go Freesync or G-Sync (considering my next PC isn't built yet), and which monitor would you recommend?

If going 4k then gsync is really the only option, as the 1080Ti is the only available GPU that can power 4k well. And if you want even more performance you can upgrade to Volta in 6 months. I dont see AMD releasing a competitive 4k card till Navi which is a year or more away,

I bought a 1080Ti yesterday, so I guess I'm all set there. Now to find the right 4k display to go with it. Seems like the largest there are is 28". I'd prefer to go larger at 34 or 35", but I've only seen a 32" for almost double the price. Any suggestions folks?
