FreeSync, DisplayPort, FM2+ mobos, ECS

AMD says Kaveri is fully FreeSync-capable i.e. can use dynamic refresh for gaming. But obviously that's only going to work if your display is connected by DP 1.2a.

It seems to me like DP 1.2 motherboards should be able to work with this- this doesn't require a change to traces, physical connectors, etc. Is this correct? If somebody purchases a FM2+ mobo with DP 1.2 will they be able to use FreeSync once compatible monitors are released?

Unfortunately, it looks to me like there aren't very many FM2+ motherboards with DP and all but one of those that do are full ATX. The only MATX board I see is the ECS A78F2P-M2.

Since FreeSync could be a real game-changer especially for APUs (slower frame times become MUCH more livable when they aren't further delayed by refresh), this seems really unfortunate.

Anybody aware of another FM2+ MicroATX motherboard with DisplayPort?

Is it OK to put up with an ECS board? How's their reliability etc these days? (I don't intend to overclock and in fact will be using the lower-TDP A8-7600 in case that's relevant.)
