It would be nice for the HDMI forum to standardize a tonemapping bypass mode, low latency HDR output and a minimum adaptive refresh rate of upwards to 50ms (20FPS) ...

I suspect an automatic support for changing colour space will require some changes in the graphics kernel so it would be great if Microsoft will upstream all of these features for WDDM 2.3/DXGI 1.7 ...

I wonder if the HDMI working technical group can also get 12-bit HDR and HDR dynamic metadata supported too ? :) (As many new features as possible please!)

I'd like to see Adaptive Sync as the de-facto standard, vendor neutral so no fanboy pissing contests.

You will soon have your wish granted with HDMI 2.1! (HDMI 2.1 Compliance tests should be coming either this quarter or the next quarter.)

Now let's move on to the good stuff like 12-bit HDR, dynamic metadata, lower variable refresh rate support. Essentially Dolby Vision standard + Freesync 2! :D
