Freespace under win 7

I installed Freespace 2 from GOG not too long ago on my win7 pro 64bit system.

no problems. the texture/graphics mod update (larger than the vanilla game, I think) worked well, too.

don't know if this is relevant to Freespace 1

Freespace 1 works on my Windows 7 64-bit box the last time I checked.

Get the Free Space total conversion for FreeSpace 2.

Freespace Source Code Project? I believe it's called should run both Freespace 1 and Freespace 2 in Windows 7 64-bit flawlessly, plus give you access to graphics mods and new player-made campaigns.

I think SCP has both 1 and 2 in downloadable format. AFAIK, they don't like you using the bandwidth if you can help it and it's all above board as far as legalities go too (also afaik).

They used to, since finding a purchasable copy of FS2 was nigh on impossible for a while. Now that you can buy FS2 through GoG.com, they don't provide any of the core game assets anymore.
