FREESCO setup and dhcpoffer

I am trying to set up FREESCO and it keeps handing at DHCPOFFER. I am using a cable modem.

1. Do I need to use DHCP? When I view winipcfg, it does show DHCP server. Does this mean I should use DHCP?

I am using PCI NIC's on a Pentium.

If your ISP requires you to use dhcp, then eth0 should be set to dhcp. Mez is correct. Try moving the modem cable to the other nic. Sometimes it will hang on dhcpoffer. Be patient and see if it returns an ip address. I use it with my cable setup and it works great.

Make sure your network name is set correct and also double check the network settings. You can try setting up a static IP if you have one.
