FREESCO question

I have a dell p166 I have been messing with Linux on. I was thinking about installing freesco on it and using it for my router instad of spending some cash on a linksys (besides what fun is that plug and go). Being a linux newbie my question is if I run freesco does that have to be a dedicated system or can I still mess with linux on there?

It's still Linux, so you can do whatever you want with it. You're not locked in to what the distro provides.. and it certainly wouldn't try to hinder you from customizing it as you see fit.
