I just got this program called freemempro from a friend of mine. It's said to improve memory performance by freeing up more memory...the only thing is...i don't have the slightest clue on how to use it. Anyone out there have this program...if not...i'm just gonna crash it. If you guys have it and know how to use it...could you pls explain to me how i can use this program to optimize my comp's performance. Thank ya!

I don't see any reason why you should use it since you have 256 megs of ram. I say trash it.

from my experience, the so called memeory freeing programs actually degrade your performance rather than improve anything, since they simply fill your memeory with dump then clear it without concern for what they are dumping out of memory, say they dump compenents required by IE or appas you are currently running, that process will have to reload all this stuff again, resulting in more HD access and slower performance, plus they just eat up resources running in the background, i say dump it, worthless in my opinion
