I saw this in a game store where I stay. Was wondering how it is, anyone played it? It's a game from 2003. Worth playing?
 
I played it few years ago. It was kinda fun at the beginning, but then it got too repetitive. It is cool how you can give order to your teammates.
 
I enjoyed it, and some of the team dynamics were novell at the time. Not sure how well it stands up in retrospect.
 
It is a very fun game. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

There's also a sequel, "Freedom Fighters and the Third Reich" or something like that. Never got around to playing it.

I may have to start replaying the original.
 
I bought it sometime in 2004 and replayed it a couple times now. I also found it very fun, the music by Jasper Kid was absolutely brilliant for some of the scenes. AFAIK there is no sequel, isn't Freedom Fighters vs The Third Reich based on a comic book?
 
Very great game that flew under the radar of a ton of people despite the above average reviews., recommend that you try it out because I enjoyed it a lot.

You are talking about Freedom Force. The game he's talking about is from the Hitman dev and its pretty much like the 80's flick Red Dawn..y'know..Soviets come and invade America.


Good game and I'm sure it still plays plenty fine. Great music too.
 
Thanks for all the replies! I went and got the game and also another title, from the Tomb Raider series..."Tomb Raider: Legend". 🙂

Btw, I'm not a big fan of the TR series, but the last 3 games which I've seen screens for look so good that I decided to try it out.
 
I got it for like 8 bucks back in the day in a Sam's Club bargain bin...best 8 bucks I ever spent! Highly recommended. Too bad Kane and Lynch (spiritual successor from devs IOI) was craptastic.
 
I really enjoyed it. If you like comic book stories, you'll absolutely love this game and its expansion, The Third Reich (or something similar)

Even if you just want good gameplay, it's very enjoyable. Your heroes levels up, developing new abilities as you progress through the game. I heard Marvel Ultimate Alliance was said to be a ripoff of Freedom Force, but I never played that.

Edit: Oh, saw a reply earlier indicating that I'm thinking of the wrong game (Freedom Force, not Freedom Fighters). Well... shit
 
I thought it was a very fun game but I beat it pretty quick. That's saying alot because I rarely finish games.
