freedb is awesome

I'm sorry, but foobar sucks for general use.

It is however a feature rich piece of quality software. It is definitely capable, but NOT user or time friendly.

I WILL spend time ripping and catalogging..but even that is pushing it.

with wmp9 and lossless, i am fine..evne if i do NOT have kernel streaming...never head the difference anyways....at least that I can clearly remember

its uncluttered, well documented, has a great userbase, and the developers work with the userbase. i don't see how you could think it isn't user friendly, it installs easily and dosen't have all kinds of flashy blinking boxes and other crap to clutter the interface.

musicbrainz.org is better

It missed on entirely too many of my songs. I had rock songs being renamed and id3 tagged as classical songs.

the ability to mass retag files / albums from FREEDB and foobar is awesome.

i love foobar. Even when i introduced it to the casual mp3 listener, it won hands down to winamp.

the myth of not user friendly is crazy.
