Freecom 400GB External HD issues

I have an 400 GB external HD (USB) that seems to be crashing and disconnecting now and then, I ran driver agent and it says I'm up to date and there drivers are fine...

Any ideas?

Something might be dying on you. I suggest backing up. NOW. If it dies, take the enclosure apart and see if the drive still works.
 
It looks like when I plug in my USB pad for rfactor it crashes, when I launch zune it crashes after 2 minutes....Im thinking a fresh install of windows vista, Im guessing there's a problem with my USB host adapter?
 
Oh, it's not the only USB device? If you reinstall and it doesn't go away, something might be shot on your motherboard then.
 
well my mouse and KB are USB, when I load up zune it will disconnect and reconnect within 5 minutes, when I plug my USB pad in my external HD disconnects, meh...
