I recently downloaded the new version of FreeBSD and installed it on my Lenovo T420. The problem is that no matter what I try it will not boot from the harddrive into BSD. Given that I was able to use the last version (8.4) of FreeBSD with no problems (minus some driver issues) I'm strongly suspecting boot loader issues but I've got no reference point. I've tried both GPT and MBR bootloaders and both are a dead end. On the hardware side, I've tried switching between AHCI and compatibility as well as UEFI and Legacy. I know how to use FreeBSD/Linux in the general sense, but I have no idea how to troubleshoot these types of problems.
Any ideas?
