Wonder how this compares to NERO...

Got mine, thanks!

Looks like the VCD authoring features on this are pretty good, too!

Thanks for the link! WinOnCD is a very good CD burning software. It's mostly comparable to Nero. Unfortunately, the two don't get along very well, so having both WinOnCD and Nero installed on the same box may cause one of them to stop working. At least that's my experience.

Strange that is being distributed by Roxio since they are the ones behind EZCD. But, I'll give it a try.

I guess this is a 30 day free trial. The file I downloaded only shows 750 kb, hmmm what gives?

waitman click on that file and start the real download :) Hope you got a fast connection!

Bump this baby!!!

Waitman, you need to doubleclick on that 750 KB file to extract the full download (80 MB) to a temporary location on your HD. This will end up giving you the full contents of the CDROM installed in this temp location. I then copied this over to a CD-R which gives me a backup full installation disk...

This is a full blown version from what I can see! I downloaded and installed my copy and everything indicates that it's the real deal, no trial period stuff! I've been burning away since 10:30 without any issues!

I've been using WinOnCD for several years now and feel that, next to Padus DiskJuggler, it's the best overall CD mastering s/w on the market. This includes Nero, ECDC, and CDRWin. AdapCrap must have had a change of heart to re-issue it to the US market after acquiring Cequadrat several years ago...the Euros have been buying/using WinOnCD exclusively until now ;-)

Still have an hour and half to download the latest version for FREE!!! What a freakin' Hot Deal!!!

DirectX is included in the package which makes up for half of that huge file.

I'm on a 56k right now. Anyone wants to DL this for me and then upload it to me later when I get back to broadband?

Thank you so very much.......THIS IS AN AWESOME DEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love WinOnCD....especially for mastering CDs that I make from LPs...it has the best "easy to use" audio clean up utilities I have tried. I still have version 3.7 PE but this is awesome, I can't wait to try it out.

It only took a minute and a half to download the file on dial up.

With all the headaches with Easy CD Creator, this is pretty good. (Remember the fiasco with original version 5, how it killed Windows 2000 systems and messed up other OS royally).

I've used Nero ever since and as they may not work well with each other installed at the same time,
Ronstang,
post a bit more on why this burning program is better then Nero. Is it easier to use, etc.

P.S. carmann The final installation folder which should be backed up immediately has 169MB. Make sure you double click on Installer.EXE to get the actual download while there's still time.

c627627, I've already downloaded the file. I don't think I have to install it before 2am though.
