I am putting together a simple website for my uncle (Coming soon to a sig near you). He would like a hit counter on his site.

I Googled "webpage counter" and was pleased to see many, many free webpage hit counters available. However, I have never heard of any of them.

What free webpage hit counter do you use and/or recommend, and why? What features do you like a counter to have? (BTW, I am mostly concerned about staying power, so counters from older, well-established companies are probably preferred.)

Can't look at statistics from your web host?

I'd really just pick one and go with it.

i don't use a web counter cause those are for sites made on geocities back in the day. it looks trashy and very unprofessional IMO.

but if it's just for a personal webpage then it's okay in my book. but i just see no reason for having one cause all those numbers are in the stats you can find on your webhosting control panel.

however i would still probably just create my own if i wanted to do one.
