Free Warriors Custom Built Lob Wedge (60*) pay only shipping $9.95

I got this wedge a long time ago when they had this promotion. The wedge was very impressive for $9.95. I thought I might bring this up again. Here is the site.

Here is the problem I encountered with this club. I put in my height correctly, but when the lob wedge arrived, it was longer than my standard pitching wedge, so I had to cut it down to the length of my Cleveland 900 SW (cut about 2") and add some lead powders so the swing weight can increase to D5. Also, get rid of the grip. I slipped on a GolfPride Tour Velvet Cord and this is one of my favorite clubs. Whenever I'm 70~80yd and in, this is the baby I choose. By the way, the loft is 60*.

Thanks, I just ordered one. I couldn't justify buying a LW when a pitching wedge would work most of the time, but for 10 bucks I figure I can't go wrong.

I ordered one when this was posted back in the summer and I never received my wedge. I called a few times and they said it would be shipped soon. I had totally forgotten about it until seeing this thread. Time to find out what happened.

(With apologies to those of you who believe this belongs in Sellers' Ratings. . .)

Buyer Beware when doing business with Warrior Custom Golf. I purchased a set of drivers a year or so ago from them. They told me "100% money back guarentee, including shipping." I did not care for their feel, so I called for an RMA. It took me a couple calls and over an hour of phone time to get the RAM# - they were far more interested in giving me more of their overpriced stuff "for free" if I just kept the original clubs. Amazingly, although they managed to charge my credit card the day they shipped the clubs to me, they did not give me a credit on my credit card until they had the clubs back in their hands for over 2 weeks.

This may be a good deal for $10 (although how much of a deal is a $10 club that you have to shorten, re-grip, and re-weight?), but be very wary of their other stuff and their sales tactics in general.

Edit:
"although how much of a deal is a $10 club that you have to shorten, re-grip, and re-weight?" - See SchnellAMG's comments below.

here is how much I paid:

$ 9.95 Wedge
$ 5.00 Golf Pride Tour Velvet Cord
$ 1.00 Shorten with lead powder
--------------------------------------------
$14.95 total

this wedge work as well as my $130 Cleveland Form-Forge 900 wedge. I think it's worth it.
Even your golfsmith trys to rip you off, you can get everything done for less than $10 after you receive the wedge.
it takes them at most 5 minutes to get the old grip out, clean the old tape, measure swingweight, cut, measure swingweight, add powder, measure swingweight, put on new tape and new grip.

I got one of these during the summer, and I must say it's total crap. You are getting what you pay for. I don't even carry it in my bag anymore.

Got this during the summer and well you really cant go wrong for $10. Only problem is they keep calling me to try out sets of clubs and I live in friggin Iowa. It's a little too damn cold to play golf here I think. Guess they don't check that when they call. Besides the annoying phone calls. Good Deal!

i have one of these.. not a bad wedge for $10 + shipping.. of course there are better.. but for $10? not that i know of...

I took my 60* out of my bag... seemed to screw me more than help. Not enough practice I guess. Ordered one anyway... sucker for cheap clubs. 🙂
