"free" version of Anandtech isn't that bad!

the loading time seems to be faster than before on the free version. just don't load avatars. the banner loading time on average is 2 seconds. it doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but it's not bad just for viewing text.

No, it's really not. I liked the forums perfectly well even when they were slower than hell. But for those of us who want better, now better is available.

its wasn't THAT bad....??? when it used to take >10 seconds to load a page..... that was bad. Now that I'm subscribed, it's going really nice now. <1sec to load a page.

Its better now IMO. I missed all that speed.

I think its kinda funny though. You remember that trip that Anand went to work/upgrade the servers? I think they were already implementing the Bandwidth and everything else that weekend. Kinda funny though. We are 'upgrading' the servers. Hahahahha....

At school, it took me like about 1 to 2 minutes to load a page and it timed out all the time, now when I have the subscriber membership, it takes like 1 second to load......the internet service here (T1) sucks so that it was taking soo long....
