Cool,
I'm still plugging away on Blue Dragon. The damn game keeps freezing on me though, I think my 2nd 360 is on its way out 🙁
Don't know if I will still be interested enough once I finish the game to play through this pack anyway.

Song pack isnt my cup of tea, but I know my brother will be buying it for sure. He is really into Trivium, and Atreyu

So now they want to charge high prices for songs/bands most people haven't heard of? This pack surely won't let them brag about how many track packs they are selling and how the public has voted with it's dollar.

I'd like to see the track list available, but I couldn't find it on Red Octane or the official GHII website. I'm considering jumping into this series when GHIII hits, but I don't know if I can take all the butt-rock anthems.

The rise of the Indie band means that there will probably be a big enough community that knows these bands, some of them very well. I know I'd like it if Band of Horses was included in one of the song packs for GHIII. Plus, the ability to sample tracks online at Amazon.com or the like means that many people can hear what is on offer before buying these packs. Today's distribution channels mean that Indie bands aren't stuck in obscurity.

Just because people have or haven't heard of a certain band doesn't mean they do or don't want to actually hear the band. I'm very aware of AC/DC, but I'll shove a pen in my ears if I have to listen to them.

There is also a video which shows samples of the three new GHII songs. Of course, there's no way I'd bite with the price tag, but I was curious so I watched. I've not previously heard any of the three songs. One of them looked very easy (Dead!-type easy) and there was one that looked really hard.

The MCR pack was like that. One painfully easy song, one moderate song, and one more challenging song.
