benson is the underdog?!
wow.. how far a former champion has fallen

holy lopsided flyweight bought. -900 for one guy.
you get better odds for betting 'no safety' in the superbowl (-800).

He is moving up in weight and fighting a guy that is huge for THAT division. Thatch has also finished every fight he has won. Benson is also taking it on a couple weeks notice, and the fight will be at over a mile in elevation. I.E. it has nothing to do with having fallen off.

He's still a great fighter, but does seem like he's lost a slight edge. Thatch's stats are almost surreal:

Henderson (21-5) to Thatch (11-1):
ko/tko: 19% to 73%
decisions: 48% to 0%
height: 69" to 74"
landed per minute: 2.88 to 8.17
takedown avg: 2.46 to 4.23
takedown accuracy: 47% to 100%
takedowns defended: 64% to 75%

However this is thatch's only 3rd ufc fight, so his stats will drop a lot against consistent top competition, but he's obviously considered a powerful up-and-comer. Without ever having heard of thatch, based on these stats, one could expect henderson to take this to the ground asap.

With the reach advantage, Ben is going to be forced to shoot from too far, or risk getting killer kneed ducking under strikes. Thatch's biggest ? is how he handles the year layoff coming back from injury.
