Curiousity has gotten the better of me and I'm thinking of purchasing a FTA receiver to see whats out there on the satellites for free.
While researching this a bit, I found out there is a firmware hack for DTV 430RG direct tv receivers which turn them into a FTA receiver.
Anyone played around with FTA receivers for the purpose of receiving the multitude of FREE programming out there? I'm not interested in discussing hacking dish or dtv so please don't discuss that here as it will quickly get this thread locked.
