free throw distance at the playgrounds...

i know very rarely do we find regulation sized basketball courts or three point lines but is the free throw line usually painted 15 feet away from the basket at the neighborhood playgrounds?

when i watch nba games on tv, it always seems further. i never remember to check the distance at the court at my work.

how are the courts you guys play at?

Not sure, I'd have to pace it out or measure it to know.

Maybe that's why I wasn't as good at free throws when I played in grade school. I was better at longer shots than close ones, unless it was really close.
