Great! I needed one of these readers and the dvd's don't hurt either! Thanks OP and Happy Holidays. Keep in mind for the free shipping over $25, you need to send in a mail-in rebate and you will only receive no more $40 in shipping rebates.

edit: eCost has the same 7-in-1 reader for free also though a mf MIR. Too bad they charge a "handling" cost otherwise it would be a better deal, but coupled with the dvd+r's, this is a good deal for FREE + FREE shipping + small amount of tax (at least for me).

Deal still good. Checked into it more and FREE GROUND shipping definetially applies to these 2 items and their "ghey" one rebate per customer per week doesn't hold up here since one is sent to pcmall (which states it in the terms and conditions) and the other to syntax. Good deal if you follow through.

The rebate for the bmi dvd+r 25pk isn't online anymore (they suck!), but I have it and can send it to someone who can host it if people are interested still. Syntax deal good until 1/31/04 and BMI deal good until 12/31/03 so if you guys wanna get it on this, you gotta do it within the next couple days!

silex, please send me one at mmlu@sbcglobal.net, I can host it for a while.

How do you get the FREE ground shipping? I get $10 for FedEx Ground......but none of the items say anything about free shipping...

Email sent.

Does anyone happen to have a copy of the $15 rebate form for the Kensington Wifi Finder on PCMall? They pulled the rebate form off their site the day after I ordered it, and replaced it with a $10 one. I'd be really appreciative if someone could email or fax me a copy, as even my PCMall salesman can't find it. (Lesson learned: print all PCMall rebate forms immediately upon ordering.)

As for the BMI media, it's out of stock and they aren't sure whether more will arrive by year-end (rebate end date). Which is a shame, as it burned perfectly on my LiteOn standalone DVD recorder.

Also, the free-shipping rebate specifically EXCLUDES the BMI media (as well as a long list of other items; read the terms). Not sure what would happen if you ordered several items, some of which qualified for the free-shipping rebate and some of which didn't, like the disks plus the Syntax unit. (This is what I did, and I submitted the rebate form "just in case.") But if you order only the DVD's (or the other items on the excluded list) you won't qualify for the free-shipping rebate.

Actually, DVD-R's are excluded, but it doesn't mention DVD+R's. Does that mean that you can use both rebates on the DVD+R's?

DVD+R rebate

edit: or is this the problem? (from DVD rebate form)

Haha, I didn't know that so many of you guys still had the rebate. Anywho, regarding what dude8064 said, it has to be good for both the shipping rebate and the pcclub rebate since they are 2 separate rebates and, like a few of us said, the shipping rebate doesn't exclude this item. I'm guessing that PC Club found their mistake and pulled the DVD+R rebate, because they would have to be obligated to pay both rebates. Thanks for the guys who are hosting too 🙂.

I see another problem. The free shipping rebate is for orders of $25 or more. The DVD+R spindle is $19.99. I don't think that the $25 includes shipping charges. That means the shipping rebate still won't work for the DVD+R's.

thanks for hosting the BMI rebate!

I called and they had *no* idea when they'd get more...I have a feeling that a LOT of people have these backordered...

So, is the BMI rebate good for when it was *ordered* or when it was *charged/shipped*? I have a feeling they're not going to get more in before the rebate's deadline of 12.31.03 .......

😎

Arggh..got the Syntax Card reader *and* the USB 802.11b adapter.

BOTH rebates state that "...photocopies of the PC Mall receipt will NOT be accepted."

What the......????????/

That's completely inane! How am I supposed to send in rebates for both products if I can't photocopy??

That's crazy! Anyone know of a workaround??

has anyone gotten this syntax reader and tried it with anything?

I've got a JVC 8MB MMC card..and I can't get it to read it all! I finally realized I had to turn the card with contacts *up*..but that does not good......

any ideas?

I got the rebate check for the "4x" DVD-Rs I bought in December a couple of days ago. That was encouraging. Maybe I'll go for another FAR item.
