They're still making a 1000% markup on the food... the prices are insane. :Q $4-5 for a bag of popcorn! My friends and I usually smuggle food in our jackets and pants pockets.

Most of the AMC's that I have been to in the LA area allow you to carry food and drinks from elsewhere in. Nobody ever stopped me, and I carry it in the open.
 
Really? I was under the impression that they didn't want you to bring food in from outside, because it would decrease concession stand sales.

I guess we don't hafta try fitting those 2 liters in our pants anymore.

depends on the workers..and if the theater is part of a large mall😛 with starbux/mcdonalds/jamba juices right beside the theater its harder ot stop ppl from bringing iin food😛

i work at an amc in santa clara, and yes, we allow customers to bring foods and drinks in. we do this to promote other business at our location, jamma juice is one.
