Free shipping is back at onvia.com.

:)

I hope this lasts. I haven't bought anything from them since they
dropped free shipping a few months back.

You're on crack, dude. I just dropped a monitor in my cart and it's charging me $52 to ship it.

Doesn't sound very free to me... unless you have a secret method.

Ah yes, I see what you're talking about now... if so, good deals on monitors abound. Might have to pick up that Sony G400 this week. :D

Thanks for clearing that up for me.

There sale must have fallen off a cliff when they ended free shipping. Trying to get some sales back.

It appears tey have raised prices slightly to cover the cost of shipping. They could and should have done that before, and not lost all their regular customers. Now, Oniva has to recover customers that have moved on......

Stupid, huh?

They are dead, nothing more than a "brand" left.

That expensive building in downtown Seattle kille them :)

Just like 3Com and Staples getting into sports arenas :__)

Nice, Onvia really sucked when they charge for shipping. Now I can get all those case deals again.

I have bought from onvia a few times because of the free shipping. Prices aren't that great and I don't like the fact that they don't offer pictures of the products and lots don't even have descriptions.

This comes as great news! I blew an hour last week trying to find a USB cable for a half-decent price at a B&M store in NYC. CompUSA, Staples, Office Depot etc. all want to gouge you $29.99 for an overpriced Belkin USB AB cable. It's good to know I can get a decent one for under $5 shipped free from Onvia now! :)

Carnivore99, Costco has 2 USB cables (AB and AA for extension) for about $6. I just bought it last week.

Re USB cables...

and if you're in a bind, there's always Walmart -- USB cables are $10 here. Dunno why the computer chains have to really RIP people for cables. Back when CompUSA had a corporate purchase agreement with my company where we could walk in, show our badge and get corp. discount, I discovered that cost on a $50 Belkin cable was about $10. What a markup!

We're so spoiled with all the free shipping that we've been getting. Looks like any time an online company does the slightest wrong to us, we run the other way with our business and make comments about how they're doomed. Geez, if we keep this buying model of ours us, we're looking at a BLEAK future for the internet companies. It's just going to end up being too unprofitable for ppl to sell to online users who moan and gripe about "no free shipping" "not enough coupons" "don't honor price errors"...

kimdani1 - whats your point? If you disagree with us trying to get the best possible deal, why are you here.
