IMO, the $5 off $10 assuming its a $10+ book. If not, I guess the free shipping works. I wonder if you can stack?

How does half.com determine returning customers vs. new customers? email address? CC#?

Bump so others may benefit. The free shipping offer is for existing customers. I don't know how half.com determines such things.

They track new customers using CC numbers and e-mail addresses (same as Buy.com). Also check the DVDTalk bargain forum, there are two $5 off $10 coupons for returning customers that expire today.

Shipping is kinda useless since for like $3 you can probably ship 10lbs worth of printed matter via postal service media mail. I believe the coupon is also for shipping on the first item, not entire order.
