MediaCoder has some options for iPod/iPhone conversion. I've only used the audio portion of the program but if the video is anything like it, it is very good and easy enough to use.

I have tried MediaCoder and I hate the interface...hard to learn.

I just found free 3GP video converter It is easier for me to use..I will look at handbrake. thank you everybody I feel like I am now iPhone addict.

media coder
both multithreaded...very fast.
stuff like 3gp is slow as dirt
and 3gp mpeg4 isn't the format you want anyways.

what format does iphone can support? only 3gp is all I know.
