Looking for a scientific calculator program for Vista. I don't need anything too complicated, just want to add and subtract long list of numbers like you would with a TI calc.

I need something where I can put in the long string of numbers without adding or subtracting each number until I press enter

900+300+696+234 -> enter -> 2130

In general, scientific calculators arent thought to be used quite that way. I suppose that you could load the stack of an RPN type, but generally you are limited to Z,Y, W then X which is display. Otherwise you could just accumulate to memory(s).

What you probably want is an accounting (ie, paper tape type) calculator. Try some of these:

My bad, I guess I didn't mean like a scientific calculator but rather a graphing calculator such as the TI-83 where the numbers are listed horizontally unlike the accounting calculators

Edit: Like this

Most calculator programs are useless jokes for the reasons you're discussing, and others.
It is pathetic that a 50 year old "roll" calculator can show you more of your calculation that a full PC with a big screen running a calculator program that for some inane 'reason' displays only a single 15 digit number at a time in a tiny window.

Do yourself a favor and stop using calculator programs and use a text entry mathematics calculator program.

There's just absolutely nothing good about calculator programs that are elaborately designed to 'look' like a mini desk calculator sitting on your desk instead of being computer programs designed for computer user interfaces to accomplish the task of calculation.
