It's on the first page of their in store ad in my area (sf bay area in CA). Pretty cool for just trading in crap you're gonna throw away.

I heard about this, too. Sounds like a good idea.

Figures-just threw four empties out yesterday.

Staples ran the same sort of deal around the first of the year-I wonder if this will become common.

just wanted to make sure that people knew that the paper is the recycled stuff. not as high quality the non-recycled ones. either way, it's getting something for practically nothing. good post...

What about generics? I go thru a ton of canon inkjet carts, but the ones from megatoners.... Would they accept this?

NICKel: If this is like the Staples deal was (and it appears to be a carbon copy), yes they will accept any type of cartridge-they just throw them away/put them in their recycling bin.

Bad news is that you do get recycled paper (I'm all for recycling, but Staples recycled copy paper is definately a step down from new) and you can only do one per visit. So plan on stopping at the store every day on your way to work.

Not bad! Stack this deal with the $15 off $30 coupon on new cartridges for $15-$17 each and then pick in-store pickup so you can get the free paper as well.

I got two on one trip so YMMV.

Staples will be running this deal next week also. I told my wife about this and she said, "Why do we need free paper?" Because it is FREE of course!

I think Office Depot refills them and resells them. I saw refurished cartridges for sale on the web site. I usually refill my Lexmarks 3 times before I ditch them. By then the print head is worn out. Not bad I'll bring them and they can throw them out.

Talked to CSR at the B&M. He said that this will probably go on through Sept...

Just picked up my free ream today, gave them an emty Cannon generic cartridge originally bought from MegaToners for $1.50.
Painless no hassle freebe at least in my case.
Also on the wrapper is another coupon for a free ream that's good through 9/3/03.

Good to know, I just changed a black ink cartridge for my Epson C62. I'll go get me some free paper tomorrow. :)
