Free programs instead of programs typically paid for..ie AVG/Norton, EditPad/Notepad, etc - your favorites?

I use PC Suite 2001 instead of MS Office - all I really need is a word processor, so PC Suite 2001's 602Text (or AbiWord) does quite well for my purposes. I also use AVG for antivirus...do you know of any good (free) Powerpoint-style programs? Basically, I'm looking for mainstream applications that can be replaced with free (legally free, that is) programs..

So, what do you use?

Some sugesstions I have, aside from the ones mentioned above: EditPad - Notepad replacement
