I need just a basic program that has the basic TV Tuner functions whic his free. The one I have does not let you view from an external source such as Composite or S-Video which I need badly.

Must have

TV Viewing
Radio Station playback
TV Recording
Scheduling
Playback from S-Video and Composite

And whatever else.

Thanks.

Well DScaler does most of the stuff you want except for recording and scheduling.

Dscaler gives the best visual quality by far of any viewing software, but it doesn't have much of a reputation for recording. For recording and viewing, virtual vcr is pretty decent (tip- press F to go fullscreen).
I also suggest you look here:
http://www.videohelp.com/tools?s=5#5
and lists many freeware/shareware capture apps

GB PVR looks fantastic.

Just 2 simple questions.

1) It requires Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 to be installed. I have 2.0. Does that matter?

2) Does this support S-Video and more importantly, Composite?

Thanks.

I was wondering, I've decided to stick with PowerCinema because that's what my Remote Control supports. Is there a small program (like very small and simple) that simply allows me to watch from an external source (composite or s-video)

Thanks.

I don't understand the question. PowerCinema (which sucks, but that's beside the point) will allow you to watch any video the tuner is capable of outputting. What do you mean by "watch from an external source?" Are you saying PowerCinema doesn't work if you are capturing video from the component inputs?
