Free program to edit MP3s I have imported??

At the end of the song Fumbling Towards Ecstasy from the same titled Sarah McLachlan CD is a piano only version of the song Possession that is amazing!!

I want to cut off the rest of the song so I can just have that song on its own.

What program can I use to do this??

Something simple for either Mac or PC. Has to free. No reason to pay for it when I can just fast forward if I have too.
