Before you can use that chart, you have to buy a camera...do you have one?

Square pics? Takes me back to the days of the TLR (Rollei, Yashica, Mamiya, etc.) - all had 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 square negs. :)

Man, you're right! That's an Olympus....whatever shall I do?

JR

I'm not your mother neither i'm your father, neither friend...
To begin with...maybe start to take photos...and then to learn all,and about...
Haven't Ken Rockwell teach you anything? Or just to BS same things HE does?

Gintaras,

Keep your comments courteous and avoid the snide comments. We are a community and we all share an interest in photography. It goes without saying that no one here appreciates your attitude. Be more courteous or you will be asked to leave.

Is it the language barrier, or do you just not get sarcasm?

Are you going with that one to Nikon School?

Gintaras, I am new to this forum and don't spend too much time here, so don't have all the background info, but you seem to be stalking JR's posts just to followup with snide putdowns or personal insults. Gets tiresome for the others.

Just saying.

That is called "trolling," - looking for a flammable argument. It is risky behavior.

Are you a JohnnyRebel 2 ?

I don't disscuss his personallity, just his posts- what shows, he's not even interested in photography. Just trolling...
Have you read all of his posts? Have you seen photos taken by him?
What I do bad -to reply to troll posts...This is only my problem...

You seem like another JohnnyRebel...
Because, instead going personal, anyone would do - hit quote button and WITHIN REASON TO EXPLAIN, what's wrong in a post...

So far, you don't have any explanation...

Do you really not get it? Radhak gave you three quotes from this thread that had nothing to do with the topic, but were merely attempts to cause problems.

You have done the same to me on other threads, and also just been rude to others for no good reason.

You want to see a shot, well here's one I took on a Kodak P&S that I borrowed from my cousin while visiting a park in Florida. I love the colors and the textures of this man, and also his gentle loving spirit:

Here's another one I like. She had just dashed across the room and was declaring Victory in her imaginary race. Taken with my old D40 w/ kit lens:

This is the kind of stuff I love to shoot. I don't consider either shot a "instant masterpiece", but each is part of a treasured memory.

BTW, I also like the shot of my half-century old Olympus PEN I posted above. Considering it was just taken as a sarcastic response to your trolling, I think it turned out pretty good. Corner of my desk, D7000 w/ ambient lighting and 35mm f/1.8 lens.

I love to talk about photography, I love to read about photography, I love to shoot photos, but could really care less what you think about my shots. I am an enthusiastic, amateur hack. You might find it ironic that I actually do make an excellent living taking stills and video for a large regional Corporation.

And you just plain don't know what you're talking about. How about growing up, getting a life, and putting away this obsession you seem to have about me?

I am unable to understand you fully, but you seem be the pot calling everybody else black. If this is all your posts are about, I should start ignoring you. I'm sure there's some such functionality here.

JR, those are great pictures just for the rich colors - I love no-flash photographs when the available-light is just-so-right. Did you do any post-processing? And yes, you could not have got that spontaneity any better in either.

As for the OP, I confess I had no idea such a chart existed, but one of these days will want to try it out - just to test the steadiness of my hand...!

The bottom shot needs a bit of PP. I would lighten up the shadows on her face and whiten her teeth a bit. I hate the AF missed slightly (look closely at her eyes), but was not prepared to take the shot when the moment arrived. I like the top shot as-is.
