Free POWMAX PSLP6100AA MicroATX 300W Dual Fan Power Supply

7 bucks isnt bad if you need a power supply for other things. I dont know if I'd power any worthwhile components with that thing. Its great for a table top power supply for various hobby projects...

Powmax are crooks. If they operated in the US i gaurantee they would have been shut down already. Do not, i repeat, do NOT trust a Powmax powersupply for anything newer than a 386.

If it is a mATX power supply... why does it look like it is a normal-sized unit? 😕

Oh, and there is a reason why it would be free... Powmax isn't worth anything 😛

For comparison sake, that fan in the back is a 60mm unit, not 80mm. Also, look at the size of the power plug. It is AKA "SFX" size. Note that more people rated this unit a 1/5 than any other rating.

OMG, only 9v on the +12v rail? Heck, I sold a used (for a couple hours) Heroichi made SFX PSU with 10A on +12v for around $10 shipped.

Note that Enermax and Fortron/FSP makes some rather good SFX PSUs, but they aren't cheap. One Enermax unit has a full 24A on the +12v, and I'm using one to power an A64 San Diego core at 3.12GHz and a 7900GTO video card.

I like how Powmax markets their most expensive stuff. For 30 you can get an "Assassin", which is aptly named for it's ability to terminate your hardware and also makes light of the idea of Karma, where it's killing ways return to it.

Another is the "Demon" and well, i'd have to be demon possessed before i'd put that into my computer.
