free pop3 server?

what free pop3 servers do you know of? I have used Mercury/32 up to now but I'm wondering if there's anything better that's free?

I believe sendmail has a win32 port. If win32 was a requirement it would have been listed as such.

when in doubt, assume that the user is in the 95% of people who appreciate convenience. 😉

do you have any specific complaints about mercury/32?
 
Sendmail DOES have a windows equivalent, but I don't believe it's free... it's also an SMTP server only, if I recall correctly.

XMail supports win32, linux, etc, and does SMTP and POP3. It can be found here. It's a little tricky to configure, but seems to work well.
