Good deal! I love VGS, its much nicer then bleem. A word of warning, though , it will not always play burned games.

Cool I will have to try this out. I never really liked Bleem so maybe this will work better. I have alot of CDR games though and hope it will play some of them. Oh well if it is free what can it hurt?

The rebate form won't print out for me. It is too big for the paper.

Luzer, you need to see games on VGS, and then Bleem!. Medievil 2 looked like crap on Bleem!, and looked beautiful on VGS. Of course, there may already be a "mod chip" for vgs, but I'm not aware of it. I did get one burned disk to work in my CDR drive, but I know that isn't universal with all of them.

I've seen a few of these software setups for the Pc but was curious as to how this one works. Anyone have and use this thing that can comment on it?

That's what I had tried before, but it still isn't working. It may be my printer. I just told them to mail it to me.

Get ePSXe...It is free and much better than VGS or Bleem. VGS doesn't look all that great, but has compatability. Bleem makes things look better, but with low compatability. ePSXe is a perfect mix of the two.

Is there some sort of math error for the listing? The VGS is listed as $44.95 but the rebate is only $15 bucks... so how is that free? Is there another rebate that I'm missing?

Rhinox, the rebate form is two pages, one is a $30 rebate from connectix and the other is a $15 from outpost. Be advised there may be tax on it as well, mine came to $2.68

frostgiant's opinion of VGS and Bleem is pretty much the same as mine. Bleem can make games look really good with the 3D rendering enabled if the game is supported. VGS is more compatible with games and looks similar to the Playstation on a TV in graphics quality (no 3D ability). I still have to try ePSXe :Q Maybe that'll let me play Final Fantasy 9 without having to get a Playstation.

Well I got this in yesterday and tried it out tonight. I had to boot to ME to use it as it does not work in Win2K but that is ok. It works great. I only have a cdr of Madden 2001 here at this time but it played that game just fine. Looks better then it did on the TV. Bleem does make things work better with the 3D rendering but it does not work as good as this. The sound was flawless also. Now to order me up those USB adapters for my Playstation controllers at Chipzone.

"Sadly enough, no currently available emulator plays this game yet, but the next version of ePSXe will surely hit the net before X-Mas again. Neither bleem!, nor VGS are currently able to only get into the game itself (yes, although v1.41 of VGS played the japanese version), the available ePSXe version crashes once you enter a battle"

This is taken from ePSXe's site when they reviewed FF9, for those of you who mentioned you wanted to play it on your PC. HOwever, I think with ePSXe, the latest plug-ins might allow you to play FF9.

In any case, I'm going to get this. It's always good to have as many emulators as possible. If one game doesn't work with this emulator, I can try another. :-D

You could always try the demo too if you're curious if your game will work. Also, the connectix site has a full game listing of what is compatible and what is in testing.

Wik:

I can't thank you enough for mentioning Chipzone. I got curious and went to check it out. I ended up ordering 2 dreamcast 3 in 1 adaptors...man I'll be SOOOOOO happy to use some PSX controllers. I hate the Dreamcast Controllers!
