It is >>NOT<< completely free, and simple to ring up charges....

Read the FAQ section....here are some highlights

"membership dues are $3.80 and are only applied in months when you make calls. there are no minimum charges. for more rate info click here. "

"make a free call from your telephone by visiting our site and "zapping" the charge from your bill. "

"you can zap any long distance call less than $5 ($7 after january 1, 2001). for a domestic call that's a 140 minute conversation." (do they mean $7 per month, or per call???)

"you have 5 days to zap call charges. "

If you want free phone calls sign up at broadpoint.com for their freeway service. Every month you get 2 hours for phone calls. All you have to do is listen to ads, each 10 second ad gives you 2 free minutes. Great when you don't have a cell phone handy. Been using it for 2 years already.

Keep in mind though, with broadpoint, you
now need to apply for a service. I remember
one option was to apply for a credit card.
Still worth the trouble tho......

Broadpoint will no longer allow calls from payphones. Thats too bad cause thats the main place I used it. You know I'm willing to listen to a commercial just for one minute of talk time from a payphone.
