Free PC program to send bulk texts?

We had to cancel an event over the weekend due to a water main break at the venue. We sent a mass email but a lot of people didn't see it in time.

So we thought we might look for software that allows sending bulk texts from a PC so we could send texts and emails.

Anyone know of a good program for that?

You could probably do it with GoogleVoice. Quick and dirty, it looks like you can copy/paste a bunch of numbers in the numbers field. That could probably be automated with scripting.

Edit:
Looking further, you're limited to five numbers at a time using the interface. If you have a bunch, it would have to be scripted.

Thanks, I'm hoping to find something that can be "pre-loaded" with all the numbers and triggered by a non-techie.

You can do it with email, just have to figure out what domain each provider uses.

Thanks for that. I used that method a few years ago, but forgot due to disuse. It's useful having the providers in one list. I put it in a txt file, and will store them in Tbird when I get the spare time.

Cancelling an event should be something that warrants a phone call.
