This is hot how? Why would i want to dump $2500 to get a free palm in another bank? Also, see the $6000 min balance to avoid service charge???
I think not...

If you have the cash and could use the service it's not a bad deal. Not "hot" but worth a post.

This deal sucks. $6000 balance in a checking account? You could put the money in a CD, money market - almost anything and buy several m100s with the interest you earn.

This offer states that we need to open an account with Citibank, couldn't find anywhere fee schedule and what kind of checking needs to be open. It is all confusing, since citibank has financial services- linked credit line, bill payment- what is the minimum I need to sign up for? Anybody who used it and palm came through- what did you do?

Not a referral site. This is ohio737's geocities site. Hey junior, do not promote your own site!

I looked at it, and it appears to be a terrible deal.
The minimum is more than $6k. It's something like $10k
to be able to write checks for free. Given that my current
credit union has a $5 minimum balance for that privilege, I think
I'll just pay cash for my m100.

This deal sucks!!
$2500 initial deposit BUT you need
$6000 min to waiver 9.50 monthly charge and if not met waiver, every check costs $.50!!
So if you just put in $2500 and not write any checks for the four (4) months (you'll get the Palm in 60 days, but you need to keep account active for 4 months!) that equals to 9.50x4=$38 dollars! The street price is around $110, but include writing 5 checks per month, then 5(checks)x4(months)x.50(per check)=$10

SOOO
$38 montly fee plus
$10 writing checks (assuming writing minimal checks, god forbid if you write a lot of checks :)
-----
$48 payment for the palm, which is probably what the citibank pays for them anyway.
Take you money and invest into a mutual fund for 6 months and you'll get more than that.. Let's close this before anyone else get their hopes up high... Then ofcouse if you have the money and happen to be looking for this type of an account, then look no further...
