CableCARD tuners will allow ClearQAM tuning if no CableCARD is inserted

+1. I tuned clearQAM with my HDHR-prime for a week while waiting for the tech to come out and confuse himself with the cablecard install.

I'm using XMBCBUNTU at the moment. It works OK but the audio quality is substandard compared to Windows/XMBC. Also, if I exit XMBC instead of shutting down the system, the entire install crashes and burns and I end up having to reinstall the whole freaking mess. Next time it crashes I'm moving back to Windows.
