AnyDVD does too many other things that I really don't need. I wouldn't have any idea how my movies are changed while AnyDVD is installed.
I am having a problem on my Media Center computer. Macrovision disables NVIDIA DVD Decoder unless I'm using 480p output to my HDTV. 480p is less than the native resolution of DVD movies, and it's almost impossible to use a computer at such a low resolution. I'm using the official NVIDIA HDTV component adapter that was included with my GeForce 6600GT. Though my TV supposedly upscales all HD content to 1080i, 720p still looks better than 1080i output (my TV may need to be adjusted).
To be clear, DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink are not alternatives. I need something that removes protection in real-time so that I can watch *originals* on my Media Center computer.
