Free or Cheap Network Diagram Software

I'd like to document my network by creating logical maps of how everything is connected. It's easier than just reading a description of how things are set up and it's neater than me scribbling it on a piece of paper. Is there any free or cheap software out there that will allow me to do this?

you can use visio in conjunction with active directory to map out your network....which saves a lot of time.

but if you don't like expensive...use excel!

I used to use that to map out networks..and it works well...but don't expect all the nice looking stencils that visio provides 🙂
