Free or Cheap Data Backup programs

I plan on getting a hard drive to stick in an enclosure for data backup purposes. Since this route gives me a better warranty on the hard drive and is cheaper, it unfortuantely does not come with any back up solutions.

What is available to me that can do scheduled or unscheduled data backups? I saw something about DriveImage XML (or something close to that), but that appears to only do imagining of entire drives, while always an option, I would probably prefer something that will only back up certain parts of my main hard drive, such as my music/pictures/work and not necessarily any programs on the drive.

CTRL-C, CTRL-V.

But, seriously, if you want something scheduled, use the NTBackup or write BATch script.
