Where do we as consumers draw the line I know where I stand how about you guys. Linux vs OSX vs Windows

Libre as much as possible. I'm less concerned with cost.

The right and freedom to modify and fix the software provided to me is what matters, the cost isn't so much of a concern. Being a developer I need the option to fix it myself or maintain a custom version. I bought the product I just want to use it in a way that suits me.
