Free online info on what houses have sold for?

I'm looking for a website where you can enter in an address and it will tell you what it sold for and when.

I found a couple like electronicappraiser.com that will charge you $30 to see what a house at a certian address sold for or what it was appraised at, but this stuff is public record (isn't it?) so I should be able to find it somewhere for free. I just want to save myself of going to the courthouse in a town 40 minutes away!

I'm in Kentucky if it makes a difference

Well, my mom is a realtor and she has a program that allows her to look up listed and sold houses anywhere in the region for free. Than again, she is a realtor

Will the Courthouse be able to tell you the actual selling price, or just the appraised valuation?

this one only has 5 counties in KY, and KY has 120 counties... unfortunately i'm not lucky enough for it to have the one where the house I'm looking at is located (however the county i live in now is listed)

Nice, that link from Ameesh found mine. Although it missed the sale price by about 10K.. I guess they posted the price the owner put it on sale for.

try linking to the city/county or state tax appraiser.

thanks for the suggestion yamahaXS, but i can't find anything for Danville Kentucky (or the county it is in, Boyle County)
