Click on the Find an Event button.

Too bad registration starts at noon, or I'd go to the one in Atlantic City. I've got class, unfortunately.

It's the very first bullet in bold where it says "Why Attend?"

Yikes guess I am going blind. Nice I don't see any restrictions on who is allowed to attend either. Looks like anyone can attend; you don't have to be a IT professional. Guess I will sign up since it is hard to pass up a free copy of office Pro 2007.

Notice the *at the bottom.
Software will be distributed as a downloadable file. Free product pin number must be claimed onsite at event.

You won't be getting a physical copy of the software.

ok, first off I'm a noob.

1) Anyone know if Office Pro 2007 requires Vista, or will it run on XP pro?

2) It says that software giveaways are 'limited'. Anyone know how they do that, i.e., first x number of people signed up who attend, or first x number of signed up people through the door?

3) Anyone know if there would be a problem downloading the software to another computer, copying it to CD (or flashdrive) and then installing & registering it on my machine (I can only get dial-up where I live)?

I'm debating whether it would be worth 5.5 hours (including driving time) to get this. Would hate to put in the time only to miss out on a 'limited' number of copies (pin numbers).

Thanks for any info.

registered for this just before xmas, going to des moines event next tuesday with a group from work. last one i went to, you had to be a microsoft partner to get the software, got myself free copies of Virtual PC & Office 2007. Friend at MS told me for this one when you register you will get a link and code to enter to download iso for office 2007

1. nope, win2k, xp or vista
2. there will be enough for those people who register and attend
3. the download will be an iso file that you will need to burn onto a cd to be able to install, the software will require activation, so you can only install it on one computer
